  • which small camera?

of the 3 that are offered by Ridgid which one would best serve my purpose?
    chooses are
    1. microreel
    2. microdrain
    3. nanodrain

I get asked to all the time to see down the kitchen drain, shower drain, bathtub drain, washer drain and sometimes toilets.
a lot of these are ones where they are having constant problems. most but not all are cast-iron.
the only dumb question is the one that is not asked!

D65s Love that. Just know you won't be able to go down every trap and a few toilets but it works great for darn near everything.

I wonder how the d65 or d30 does in 1.5" galvy? 2" cast?
Sounds like jerad sees a lot of older pipe like I do.

2" cast....not a problem. 1-1/2" galvy....not a problem but it's because it always opens up into a 2" santee here. 2" cast ptrap....I get through the majority of them without a problem. Mine has the sonde which works great but you need to get used to smaller number readings when you do the locate.

My vote goes for the microDrain as well.

The nano is more specialized for long runs of small pipe like pool lines or sprinklers. I'd cross it off as a candidate. BTW, I got my D65S through Kirk and he gave my the best price by far and shipping was super quick. Also ask for the ball skids.
