  • To much grease

Did multiple drains in a restaurant and found grease, grease and more grease. Opening up the lines was not the hard part but getting the grease off of my cables is very difficult.

I tried dishwashing soap that said super degreaser with hot water. Very little help.
I tried simple green degreaser/cleaner with hot water. Very little help.
I did both of these in a clean pipe.
I ran the cable in the grass(dried out) which was more effective in removing some grease.

The only thing that I found to remove the grease is repeated use.

Does anyone have a good way to remove grease before the next job?

Sectional cable? Stop by the car wash on the way to the next job.
No, it's not rocket science, it's plumbing and unlike rocket science it requires a license.

Yes sectional and small drum machine 50 ft.

Car wash sounds like a very good idea. Thanks.

Grease is the worst. Bleach works but will ruin your clothes.

You could jet instead of snake, and your hoses will be easier to clean afterwards.

Pressure washing with some pre soaking in a grease cutting solution will work too. Maybe a cut down 55 gal. Plastic drum to soak in.

The best and easiest way is to run though some root filled lines and presto all the grease is gone !

Yes that works great but problem is you never get a job like that right after a serious grease job and the cables are stinking up the van
