  • New Toy - Electric Eel Model C

Great day, been fishing for a deal on a drill and Eel set up.
    My ship came in.

A Electric Eel model C and 104' of 8' 1 1/4 cable with attachments in mint condition
    for $700.00

About a year old and only used a few times. Bar owner bought it because of the high
cost of having his main cleaned and then sold the bar.

Worked the K-60 hard a few times, time to give it an occasional break.

I need baskets and a few more cutters and a drill attachment.

Chime in with what more I need and where to get them

      You will also need:

A good drill that spins around 600rpm
      1 or 2 4' sections of 1.25" cable
      1' flex leader
Model C output shaft & coupler end
      Various size HD saw blades
      Various size HD C blades
      Various size spear heads
      Various size retrievers
      4x6 expansion blades
      A can of penetrating oil
The General coupling wrench is best as it has a highly viable orange handle for when you drop it in da chit

Once you get the drill you can also unload the Model C

I thought I posted last night, but its gone.

Start off using the eel machine and learn the torque limits and feel of the cable first. Remember your protected from the cable with the machine in front of you. Not so when the timberwolf is in your hands and the cable can wind you up.

So learn on the model c first before you go with the drill. I prefer the timberwolfs fit, feel and power.

Yes, 4' section is a must when you're in a hard spot more sticking out more than 5'.

I use10' sections and my 4' sections get used every few jobs

            Rick.
