  • K-60 ultimate test-no problem

These are pics from a project I've been assigned to. When I cut the 2" galv from the urinals(pic 5) (a urinal was on each branch of the cross), I discovered what 60-years-of-old-man piss can do(pic 4). I brought the K-60 out and hired some really handsome guy to run the 60(pic 2). I ran 7' before I finally broke through and the rest of the cable went through without a hitch(pic 3). The white spot is part of the comby, sorry bad pic but the line is clear. There were 2 of these lines to snake out and it took about 30 mins. to do 15'. The K-7500 might have done this faster but a K-60 can do this type of stoppage. I used the General 7/8" innercore in case you were wondering. Very stiff cable and I was impressed with how much torque I was able to apply.

What type of head did this handsome guy use on his cable?

Pretty good results from what you started with

If this urinal was in an Irish bar; no way you clear it

Ridgid T-112. I've found these heads are great for grease as well. Here's another pic of the other drainline.

ben, i doubt that the 7500 would be a good choice. here is the reason why.

with this stoppage at such a short distance, the drum would continue to spin and with only a couple of feet of cable in. once you get tension on the cutter, the overspin of the drum will get you in trouble. there is not enough cable in to absorb the continued torque. also the 7500 runs 5/8'' or 3/4'' cable. too stiff to negoiate any turns in 2'' pipe. the 7/8'' sectional does

with the sectional and the instant acting clutch, there is a hugh safety factor. also that 4 tooth cutter is not avaliable for the 7500.

once again the reason why the k-60 is called the impressionator

ben, are you showing off with your k-60

Yea Right The 7500 would have done just as good of a job if not better as I would have finished off with a cutter the same size as the inside of the pipe

I already proved I can remove Concrete with the K-7500

started out with the 750 15 years ago. went through 2 of them. actually first one was stolen sold the second one and then bought a 7500 5 years ago.

now i have 3 more 750 and 2- 7500 sitting. the k-60 is the main machine i use now. the 50 and 1500 are a close second. the k-39 is still my only top gun machine.

still a drum machine with very little cable in the drain is dangerous. the cable will torque too quick and the drum will continue to rotate.

the k-60 was the best choice for this stoppage. sure a drum will work, but a 7500 on a 2'' line is not wise and is still dangerous.

Minerals in urine that are dried up. Ever get a dish of salt walter to dry out? You'll see the same deposits. Kidney stones are pretty much the same thing.
