  • inner-core cable for K-60

I am thinking to get some heavy-duty inner-core sectional cable for my K-60 for those special jobs that require serious torque. What 7/8" cable do you guys recommend for sectionals, and where can I buy it?

I believe Ben has some but I don't recall him being happy with it. You may want to ask him before you order anything.

I bought mine from cable center of st. louis. It's general flexicore and is a great cable. The stiffness has pulled me out of a jam or two. The only problem is weight. 60ft probably weighs as much as 90ft of regular cable. Wait till cable center has a sale-buy 3 get 4th free.

ridgid actually has some 7/8'' innercore that's marketed for their european market.

it's basically a black solid poly piece that runs the length and prevents the cable from flipping.

i think rene is working on getting it marketed here

if we make a stink, i think we can get it

i use mine for 6'' pipe and hard 4''. i run 1 section for the front 15'. then if need be another section in the machine. the rest is all non innercore.

Rothenberger makes the cable Rick's talking about as well.

Does the inner-core you are using add much weight to the cable?

no since it's poly/plastic. i also have some general innercore to.

i carry 90' of cable in the cage. 75' normal c-10 and 15' of innercore. fits easy if the cables are connected. tight if you have all loose ends.

i guess i can easily handle 90'. got to get ready for the rematch

Any experience with Rothenberger? They seem to mirror Ridgid in some products. Or vice versa.

Customer service is nil but for things like cable, it might be a good idea. Never used them before.

All of our pipe machines were Rothenbergers (Collins) and we were very happy with them.

So what's going to happen next year when you get smoked? First the table was reason why I won. What's going to happen next year when that excuse get flushed down the drain? Should we go to a point system? Let's say to beat me all you have to do is last 10 seconds? Do you think 10 seconds is enough time for you to hang with me?
