Since I don't have a lift gate, I'd far rather lift the K-60 onto a truck. When I get a box truck, I'll have a ramp, which will be nice.

hey Herk. The M81 only goes in the van with the drum removed. I only take it up and down stares with the drum off the machine. You are right the big drum is nice. 125' of cable. the majority of my drains are over 100' to the city.

I would not nor could not do sewers cleaning with any machine that the drum would not come off. I have roled the cable once on the M81. It was still tuff to get it out. I don't care what drum machine it is It must have auto retrieve for safty or I won't use it. Other than that All I care about is can I get it to the job without killing myself and will it EASILY hold over 100' of cable. Not that B.S about I can get 125' in my machine. I want it to go in easy.

By the way I use the M81 for lav and kitchen drains also. I have a drum with 3/8 cable for it

Any how I am looking forward to trying a k 60 some day. Let us know what you think about yours

Herk, whose holding the k60 in your pic? As long as you been doing plumbing I've always pictured you as some decrepited, old plumber.

I'll be 60 in two weeks. I feel a lot older than I look.

While I waited for the K-60 to be delivered, I had about 10 drain calls. I haven't had one since I got it. ::sigh::

I'm doing some test marketing this weekend - maybe it'll pick things up.

Never would've guessed it. I would figure you for late 40's.

                          Hey Rick
                          We timed the 7500 today and it takes;
4.58 minutes to go out 100`
and about 5.0 to bring it all back inside the drum

125` was 7.0 minutes and about the same to bring it all back for a total of 14.0 minutes in and out

We did it 4 times to make sure the times were all the same.

I stand to lose about a 100 or more. Josh saw me for the first time and he probably thought I was the plant worker for cheetos.

the auto feed will feed at a max rate of 22' a minute. since you only have 3 minutes and 12 seconds, that means that each line is less than 33' from c/o to c/o.

why 33' well it's 22' per minute out and 22' in. so that's actually 11' per in and out. 3 minutes is 33' and 12 seconds to move from c/o to c/o.

allclear, remember i did the math for you 4 days ago

the figures were for 300 cleanouts and 1 machine with 1 operator. just like i do it everyday

the math needed to be re-figured to account for 2 men and 2 machines. plus skipping 3 c/o and doing 1 of every four made a big difference.

so now that it's 300 / 2 = 150 a day / 2 men is 75 a day each / 25% is 18.75 lines a day at approx 125' each per machine. at full speed of 22' per minute = 11:21 minutes each. so 18.75 x 11:21 = just over 3.5 hours of snaking time per person, plus the time to move from c/o to c/o.

so now with all the revised numbers, what took you so long

so now we know the rest of the story

                              rick.

I would say moving from C/O to C/O, Roots,Mud and locating some of the C/O`s played a big part in the time factor.
The old K-7500 doesn't feed near as fast as the new one.
I would also say the 103 heat has played a part in how fast things were moving.

You kinda disappointed me Rick as I just knew you were gonna call BS
on being able to run 125` out and back in every 14 minute`s
