  • k-60 in roots?

How well does the k-60 handle roots? Was wonder how well the 7/8" open wind cable handle roots?
Is there another cable for that machine that will fit and handle the roots a bit better? RIDGID only offers one cable for that machine. Just want to know the power of that "little Guy" and YES i have seen some post from Rick on it

K-60 with 7/8" open-wind cable handles roots very well, no problem.

it's late for the east coast guys

ridgid makes an innercore k-60 7/8'' cable. i use it for lines up to 6''.

the part # is c-10 ic.

if your supply house doesn't know about it. call ridgid and ask for renee.

      she can hook you up

90% of my 3''- 6'' drains are done with the k-60. and 7/8'' cable.

on the small stuff /1.5'' and 2'', i use my k-50 with 5/8'', but the k-60 will also run the 5/8'' too

10% of the big nasty stuff is reserved for my 1.25'' sectional and timberwolf drill

It's a heavy duty drill with a cable adapter for 1-1/4" cables

The old Black & Decker before they combined with DeWalt.

A comparable (almost exact) is the heavy duty DeWalt Right Angle drill. Used by plumbers all the time. Don't know the exact number.

We run a right angle drill with electric eel sectional cables. They work out great for us. You can feel more and have better control using the drill compared to a machine. It depends on the job, we also use Ridgid's 7500 and 750 drum machines

I take it that using a drill and sectional would be hard inside a house since you would need 15' of a "straightaway".
