lately i'm having issues with the drive handle sticking and not springing back when i release pressure on it. i'm asuming it's just dirty. god knows it's getting a fair amount of work. anyway, my question is how to clean/lubricate/fix this issue before something bad happens.

    Re: sticking handle

pretty simple to remove the cover plate and check the 2 springs and plate. probably just the salt air and dirty grease.

a very simple machine to work on and figure out. only the bearings take some work to remove. the rest is basic 101.

see page 2, parts 2-5. some carb or brake cleaner and fresh grease.

salt air? here? thanks for the reply. i figured it was a fairly easy fix. tried shooting some LPS under the rubber boot but that didn't work. i'll try to get it on the bench this weekend

      thanks again!!
