  • Cleared a 4" Building Sewer at 210'

K60 came through. Thought I was going to have to head back the the shop for the Model C, but I was able to clear a 210 footer with the 7/8' cable and K60. Line was plugged with feminine products....

Yes I am going back out to either find a buried cleanout or recommend a second cleanout install. Crazy thing is I ran in 13 sections of cable(How much regular 7/8" Ridgid sectional I have). Then I pulled all of it back out and went in and told the lady at the building that I was going to have to go get my larger machine. Told her I ran in 195' and didn't hit anything. She then told me, well Roto-Rooter had to run in over 200' to clear it last month....

I had an extra 90' of General inner core sectional on the truck. I added 2 sections of the innercore to the front of my 195' regular sectional, and sent all 15 sections in. Hit the blockage at around 210-215'.....was not going to let Roto-Rooter clear something that I'd couldn't lol.

Didn't know if the K60 could spin it, but it cleared it, still flowing since last wednesday night. Gonna go back out there and Camera it out and see what is clogging it and find/sell an other cleanout. It's on a commercial building.

WOW, that's a lot of cable to carry in the truck.

And a lot of cable to be pulling back and forth out of that long line.

I've had customers in aw how much effort it takes sometimes to
pull the cable back. Especially on those long runs.

I'm going to order more cable, but I think it will be for the Model "C".

Long distance is another place where jetting excels.

I've jetted over 500' at the airport from a hanger at lax. Took forever to get into the secured area and needed a flagged escort vehicle as you're driving around the tarmac.

Wish I knew mark's son back then. He could have gotten me in much faster.

Holy smokes. 500' in a continuous run? what size pipe? what kind of nozzle did you use? Was it able to pull all 500'?

It was a remote location on an ejector system. Needed to break up the sludge. Easy pull as it was a long straight run.

Cant remember if it was a 3" or 4" line. Was almost 10 years ago.

,,, and pulled it back with your teeth? At the access and let the reel do the work?
                        OK 500?,,,, nozzel?
I'm new to the jetting game,,, so in clay how many turns in say 4-6 inch can u negotiate and still run out 500ft.
                        Thanks

500' from a straight line is nothing more than winding a new hose on a reel.

Ive been stuck hard in lines with 8 changes of directions. Needed soap washed down the line to pull my hose back out. Remember were suppose to have cleanouts every 100' or 135 degrees. 8 changes of direction in under 100' is brutal. Lots of friction.

                          Rick.

I haven't jetted a line in probably in a year. Just got away from it. I might get me a Root Ranger to test the waters again with jetting. The Model C is not too bad up to 200', the K60 I wouldn't want to do again, but kinda cool to know it could spin all 15 sections and clear a 4" line full of wipes and feminine products.
