Seems to me it could be anything that anyone has. First correct answer wins. But we also must be careful of the BS answers too, they could be very convincing if you've ever played Balderdash!!

        Re: What's this called?

Let's see how long it takes for someone to figure out what this picture is of. What would be great is if someone knows what it is, the brand and model and about when it was made. A friend has it and thus I must keep my mouth shut until someone posts the correct info. Maybe we can name it "Red Thing 1" so everyone knows which item is which on here.

The 2 .PDF files are something that some of you may find handy to have. I'm sure anyone that downloads and opens the files will know right away what they are.

That is a very early Electrolux Vacuum cleaner, circa late '40's early 50's.

Newman WINS ...You are right on target...Bull's eye

I bet you looked it up under antique vacuum cleaners.

Let's see if you know what model this one is and when it was made. See picture and I'll name this one "Blue Vac". By the way this one is mine and no, I will not part with it.

Newman cheated and looked it up or maybe he is connected to an Electrolux dealer.

OK Newman, For now you're the winner.

I'll try to come up with something harder to figure out soon.

I'm quite sure this is not an antique vacuum cleaner. Looks more like NASA has designed a new rocket engine for Santas' sleigh

"Red Thing" really is an Electrolux model V vacuum cleaner from the mid 20s era. It does look wild for sure. If you saw the insides you really would think they were crazy but it did what it was made to do.

Yes, This is an alarm clock, but there's something special about this one. I'll give you a hint and it's also my question. What happens when the alarm goes off at the set time? It does something besides make noise. What does it do? Why do you think it looks to be lop sided? What is to the left of the face and hidden?

I don't own one of these now, but some time back I had one. Personally I didn't like it, but one of my friends did so I gave it away for a nice meal. This was a looooooong time ago.
