I am having problems with the electrical service in one of my apts. it seems that not all of the circuits are working several of of which are home runs to the box.....can it be the box that is bad? Any help would be appreciated.

There are 2 banks in the box. Are all the dead circuits on one side? If so, then you have a blown bus in the box.

Most likely one of the legs is out due to a bad MAIN breaker or a blown MAIN fuse. If you have a tester, make sure you have power on bothe legs of the 240 AFTER the main breaker or main fuse whichever the case. Lou

If it is an apartment building, and the tenants are responsible for paying their own electric, and some of the circuits are shared by two apartments. the cause may be the power company has shut off one of the customers and the shared circuits would be affected.
