  • How deep

presently, my detached garage gets its power via 10/3 UF from my home's main panel to a sub panel in the garage. the uf was buried 2' below grade and the original project was overseen and filed by a licensed master electrician in New York. a construction project will occupy most of the area the present 10/3 is in . i want to abandon the original 10/3 UF and rerun the line using plastic conduit with THHN as the conductor. can anyone quote the chapter and verse of the NEC that mandates the depth the conduit must be buried? thanks.
there's a solution to every problem.....you just have to be willing to find it.

NY Resi Code Table E3703.1 or NEC T300.5

18" deep in almost any residential application.
