  • Intergrated Power Load control IPLC

    I Just moved into a condo and the outdoor plug has one of these.

    Turns out I wont be able to use my interior heater to warm up the service van this winter when it it reaches -40

    Any Master Electricians in here now away around this computer?

    Thx in advance

    Well there are 4 visible screws

    You may be ok as long as you plug in 7 to 8 hours before you want to go.

    I appears to work like this ..

    When a vehicle is first
    plugged into the controller,
    full power is applied for
    2-3 minutes to check the
    function of the vehicle’s
    heating equipment. This
    system check is followed by a
    period of no charge if the
    vehicle’s engine is still warm
    from use. After two hours, the
    controller begins a four-hour
    cycling mode, where full
    power is applied for part of
    each 4.5-minute cycle
    depending on the ambient
    temperature:
    • above –5°C - no power is
    applied;
    • between –5°C and –25°C -
    power is applied for
    20-100% of the cycle;
    • below –25°C - power is
    applied constantly.
    Finally, the IPLC enters fullpower
    mode for three hours, to
    prepare the vehicle for use.

    It does however record power usage with may set you up for an additional charge from the landlord

      You can ask the Landloard to reprogram the IPLC with an increase to your power wattage. The system will work with any configuration it just needs to be set up to match your vehicle...Rick
