  • Why there are two ground wires?

    Hi!

I just found two wires in a junction box in a commercial place and just wondering why there are two ground wires.

I attached a picture and you will find a black wire, a white, a green and a bare wire.

    Can anyone explain this?

    Thank you.

Looks to me like the green wire is ground running in the MC cable, and they put a bare copper wire pigtail tied to the box, for the device.

    Huck.

That's exactly what I see as well.
