    Correct. The jib on my bucket was rated at 750 lbs (and that was using the proper angles and with the jib not extended at all) and our trucks were inspected all the time. The bucket you are working with might not have been looked at or tested in ages.

      This bucket is rated at 300 lbs. Knowing my boss, he probably has NOT had the boom professionally inspected. But we do closely examine it ourselves, looking for any fissures or cracks or leaking hydraulic pistons. We keep the knuckles wellubricated.
      I'd take an educated guess - but I'm unqualified.
