  • Ridgid jobsite radio/ scanner (replacement fuse)

    after a long battle i got my radio disassembled and found the fuse. the problem is i cant track the fuse down. does anyone know what the replacement fuse is. i think its a 200mva. any help would be appreciated

    Post a pic if you can. I replaced a small barrel fuse in a security system that IIRC was 200ma, was able to get it from a security system dealer.

      The fuse is a 1A/125V.
      Ridgid part # 001001002

      The easiest way to determine if the fuse may correct the issue is to try it on battery power. If the radio works on battery power but not on AC, the fuse is blown and the rectifiers may be shorted. If the radio will NOT work on neither battery nor AC, the fuse ain't gonna help.
