    although the furnace repare man seems nice i dont think he has any idea what he is talking about. a cracked heat exchanger wheather it is there or not will not cause your furnace to malfunction. get a seconed opinion on your furnace, this guy is grasping at straws.
    how is it that so many answers are in the instructions

      The pressure swithes can be tested, as well as the inducer motor to assure that it is generating enough power to close the swithes. If those are both ok. The signal from the flame sensor can also be tested. Any good tech would have the knowledge and meters to do those. If those test ok, it is possible that the board is bad and not sensing the flame signal. I don't know of any cracked heat exchanger that would drop out the flame. The flame may act funny after the fan come on. I think the tech is grasping at air at this time. Try another company for a second opinion.
