I HAVE A FRIEND WHO'S TENANT LEFT THE AUTOMATIC SPRINKLERS ON AND FLOODED OUT THE CRAWL SPACE UNDER THE HOUSE TO OVER 12" OF WATER,
HE HAS A VERTICAL UPRIGHT GOODMAN FAU. THAT SET IN WATER UP TO JUST BELOW THE GOODMAN NAME PLATE ON THE FRONT OF UNIT WITH RETURN AIR DUCTS AND BLOWER UNDER WATER

POSSIBLE TO SAVE OR SHOULD I TELL HIM JUST TO TRASH IT AND GET NEW ONE ? ?

XXXIX INS. ADJUSTER IS LEAVING IT UP TO HIM AND A RECOMMENDATION
WHAT DO YOU THANK ? ?

If the blower wasnt energized while motor was submerged it should be ok. Just pull the entire blower assembly out and dry it out good. If hes worried about it he could always replace the motor for a couple hundred bucks.
