  • Backdraft Dampers-In your ductwork

I am going to be adding a solid fuel furnace in my home> I have an exsisting lp forced air furnace that I will be keeping. I am thinking about adding backdraft dampers, one in each furnace in order to isolate each unit. I have worked out the diagram and located theunits, either Honeywell or Aprilaire, both of which are motorized.
What I am thinking of is to install 1 at the top of the exsisting plenum which will be "normally closed" . But will open when the solid fuel unit is down and the LP gas unit calls for heat.
Am I going in the right direction?
