  • Hall Effect Sensor

    In case you have not run across one of these yet. This sensor is standard on new Payne Package units. This sensor is used to prove draft (really all it proves is that the combustion air blower is spinning)

    Should be alot more reliable than the old centrifugal switches. Hall effect sensors were used in automotive distributors for atleast 40 years that I know of.

      I would still rather see a diaphram pressure switch since it proves draft (even with all of the problems they cause...lol)

        Using a curent sensing relay makes sense to me.
