Anybody use one of these? opinions?

Reading the discription I see a flaw but I want to hear from a user before judgement.

    Thank you

The best I can tell from the discription one side is ported larger to vent/purge a new start-up and then when pressure stabilizes with water in the main side it will seal closed. This leaves the small port active afterwards. A properly placed purge drain and a ball valve eliminate the vent for this purpose, but I have just never seen this before.

So this eliminates the cost of buying and installing a purge valve?
I'd take an educated guess - but I'm unqualified.

Not if the unit seals it self after the first use. What happens a few years later when something needs to be replaced? A good system will always have all the right stuff in the right place. Cutting corners on a build will only cost a lot more later.

Oh. I thought one could push the valve open for high volume while the other did in-service air bleed.
