Actually have to have one for tomorrow. The only thing I can get by tomorrow is an Extech. Just found out today Flir bought them out not too long ago.
This call I received today says a plumber was out already and couldn't find anything leaking in the house or crawl space. They had a test of the air quality done in the home and they found that there is mold spoors in the air. They have some mold near the bathroom too. I am guessing the a/c unit is sized too big and not pulling enough moisture out of the air. With it being the dead of summer and humid I am expecting 45-50% relative humidity if it were working correctly. What should I expect the inside of the house to be versus outside with respects to relative humidity?
I am not sure who actually did the test, they were very vague. They called off the job the day of. They said they didn't want to pay my fees for whatever equipment I would need to find the cause of their problem. I doubt they wanted to find out they needed remediation.
