  • Time duration to replace water heater

I need to replace my water heater.
My HVAC contractor bought the water heater from New Brunswick at 915AM today.
    Reached my home at 10AM.
He is still working (it's 230PM) - went to General Plumbing Supply twice.

    Is he cheating me?
I have a feeling he wants to charge me for WHOLE day though I am definite that water heater change is not a day long work.

In the end he charged $550 for effort.
    Let me know. Thanks.

550$ for the water heater and the time? That's a great deal. Put up some pictures so we can see what all you paid for.

... it was plumbed by Ray Charles and his helper Stevie Wonder

Did you not have a price agreed to beforehand?

An hvac contractor, not a plumbing contractor eh? That's a 15 000$ fine in my area.

They may also hold a plumbing license and he is just referring to them as an HVAC contractor. Most people wouldn't know the difference I would suspect. Mechanical. HVAC, Plumbing, around here most laypeople just think of them as a plumber.

I can build anything You want , if you draw a picture of it , on the back of a big enough check .

In some areas HVAC Contractors can change out heaters, and are even required too, I worked up in eastern WA.State and they were the only ones that could work with GAS,
