We own a 1822-1 threader. Tha clamping system seems to be working intermittently. When it does close, it doesn't clamp tight enough and the work piece slips. The jaws and drive chain are all fairly new. Any suggestions?
there are guide fingers on each of the jaws and it any of them are broken off it will not tighten on the pipe, or the jaws could be clogged up with something off of the pipe like paint or galvanizing (a stiff wire brush will clean them up if they are still sharp).
