  • pex compatibility

    will viega pex work with watts tubing?

    does anyone else make something like this?

    If it wont work with watts will it work with wirsbo?

    I believe all of the major brands are compatible, as long as you use the right ring with the right fitting. and don't expand a pipe thats meant to be crimped. Most of the guys I work with use Wirsbo piping, and whatever fittings they happen to get delivered.
    No, it's not rocket science, it's plumbing and unlike rocket science it requires a license.

        There are three grades of pex A,B,C. Type A-pex is the type that can be expanded and is compatible with all pex-A systems (crimp, expand). Keep in mind though some manufactures will not warrenty other systems used with there pipe (or atleast it used to be this way).

            Yup,All of the manufacturers that I know of void their warrenty if you mix and match components (or at least severly limit it)

              I believe that wirsbo allows there pipe to be crimped now though (in BC Canada anyways).

                the just won't warranty the connections. But yes, it will work

                  Wirsbo had their own crimp system but discontinued it due to ring failure.

                  I crimp it above ground to attach to Polybutelene.
