  • had a Pro Press demo today

we has the demo to day and my bosses are very happy with the Ridgid tool

when the demo was over i said to them i told you you would like it so now we will be getting one
we are getting the RP 330-B Press Tool
    and XL-C™ Rings

one of the bosses asked if i would use the RP 210-B more and i said if we start using pressing a lot and do more of the 1 1/4 and smaller then yes this would be nice but i said lets just go with the big one first .
then the rep talked about the Press Snap™ Soil Pipe Cutter .we would never use it ,we dont do plumbing but i said my wife was using it at the round up and it was a nice tool .

    so now im happy

I think you and your boss made the best decision for your application. You'll forget how to solder and get squishy muscles in no time.

I got the same one 3 months ago and love it. I use it on anything over 1" and with jobs where I cant get the water off all the way. I still dont think I would use underground or in walls but it for sure has its spot in the plumbing industry. I must say the fittings are so expensive compared to reg fittings. It will be nice when they get more comparable in price!

Let's put it like this. If you can hold the 330-B straight up and out horizontal to the ground using one arm fully extended and a 2" jaws for say one minute then you must have had plenty of Wheaties for breakfast.

Hulk Hogan in his prime would be proud of you.

I saw three kids on one end of a see saw... A 330-B propress tool was on the other end.

                Jaws will vary the weight.

The bare tool weighs 8lbs. No jaws.

                With 1/2" Jaws= 11.75lbs.
                With 3/4" Jaws= 11.90lbs.
                With 1" Jaws= 12.15lbs.
                With 1-1/4" Jaws=12.30lbs.
                With 1-1/2" Jaws=14.45lbs.
                With 2" Jaws= 17.40lbs.

These are based on weights provided by Ridgid. There may be an increase of 1lb. to each total for the battery if they are listing the bare tool at 8lbs. That may or may not include the battery.

                Overall, not light.

My little Rothenberger Compact weighs about a 1/3 and gets into tighter places. (Only good for uses up to 1" though.)
