  • How many presses can you do...

with a cordless press tool? What size battery are you using and how many presses on...let's say 3/4", before you need to switch batteries?

Go Rick, thats a top answer. However, what would be reasonable?????

This has probably also been asked before but what happens if the battery gives up half way through?????

no big deal. just either pop in another battery, or charge the exisiting one.

the ridgid batery units have a pressure relief valve and they will release the jaw pressure if need be to remove the jaws and the tool.

the original 400 electric beast does have a relief valve too. but then again the tool cycles in a few seconds while plugged in.

Rick will be sitting in his lawn chair while I "help" him with some propressing.

I bought an old rems unit...had it rebuilt but neglected to get new batteries. I got 5 presses in on each battery before they died. 12v dewalts. Bought 2 new ones first thing this morning.

I have no idea how many presses really. (Rothenberger Compact)

Smaller fittings are less taxing on the battery. Common sense I suppose.

I've never had a production line setup situation for it. That would be the most work on one.

But working in the field, piping all day, can go past lunch. But usually recharge around that time anyway.

the pictures will be of a mini roundup.

maybe we'll even time the job as there are going to be 30 valves to install that replaces the older gates that are original.

even charged up my milwaukee copper cutter so ben can try to smoke me but my ridgid 15 will still come out on top

job time starts at 9am. as the building is fully occupied and i don't want to shut them off early.

Ben, with my RP100 I did a job where I had to press 100 fittings so that would be on avrage to 200 presses + a few extra for the few tees. and it was still pressing strong for me. I am lucky though, I have 4 batteries for the unit. Two came with my RP100 and two came with my K-40B which I love using btw.
