  • Going Full Press. Worth it?

    1-RP330 with 1/2"-2" jaws- $3,041.27
    1-RP210 bare tool- $1500.00
    1-XL-C Ring Kit- $2,276.60
    1-V1 Swing Kit- $1298.40
    1-1/2"-1" PEX jaws- +-$450.00
    1-Set MegaPress Kit- +-$2596.00

    Estimated Total Cost- $11162.27

Does this initial investment seem worth it to you in your business?

    Thanks.

(This assumes jaws are interchangeable between the RP330 & RP210. Cost would increase if another set of jaws are required.)

jaws are not interchangable. the 210 uses the smaller frame jaws.

lots on the forum have had good luck buying used and saving a lot of money to start with.

even my k-60 was bought used and it's still in use today after thousands of uses.

If I could make the economics work out I'd go ahead and buy them. I still can't get over the price hurdle. On the occasion that I feel I NEED the tool, it is $17 a day to rent one. $37 a day if I want either the XLC rings or the megapress

No, it's not rocket science, it's plumbing and unlike rocket science it requires a license.

I looked on ebay and someone just listed one a few minutes ago with a buy it now price of 400 dollars. It's the same rothenberger I own, larger corded model and does up to 4". I've never seen one listed this low before, congrats to whoever scores this one.

Nope the one from russia was the REMS. If I didn't have a press tool, I would buy that rothenberger.

1500$ seems really expensive for a bare 210b i got my full kit 1/2" to 1.25" propress jaws and the promotion i also get a tote bag and a reamer and cutter and 5 vial level, tape and a permanent marker. for about 2000$ so if it were me id pat the extra 500 and get the jaws.

$30.00 for shipping, it's still available. One heck of a deal for that Roth. I paid a lot more for mine but I did get the 1 1/2 and 2" jaws with it.

The "buy it now" option is removed when a bid is received. He got a bid. Really dumb if you ask me because the bidder or another bidder will no doubt end up paying more than 400 for it. Dumb dumb dumb, could have had it for 400 with the "buy it now", that was one heck of a deal. . Oh well.
