    Re: Super Freeze, pipe freezer

I do use a spray bottle after a few minutes of cooling. Pre start the freezer before putting them on the pipe. Dont cut the pipe, just eiter drill a small hole or a small nick that can be clamped in case its not frozen. the rule of thumb is to have solid white frost a few inches each side of the plug.

Never had 1 let loose, but ive had a few that would not freeze.

We don't have the Ridgid freeze unit down here, BUGGA.....!!! Instead I have the Rothenburger clamps and have to use bottle gas. Generally work well but sometimes it appears not quite enough. Never lost a plug. However did have a freeze that was passing ever so slightly. Ended up with a couple of loaves of bread and heaps of gas. That was before the Pro-Press/Viega system came to town.
