  • Need to join two iron pipes at 45 and 90 degrees mechanically, ie, by bolting

Where can I get fittings for bolting two 2 inch iron pipes at 45 degrees without threading or welding. Ie like chain link fence building. Thanks.

There are malleable iron fittings for fire sprinkler systems that are insertable and have either one or two set screws on the sides. Try a local fire protection supply house like HD fire and fabrication.

You can also find socket fittings for railing or fencing that are insert style as well with a set screw but those are generally aluminum meant to be used with aluminum pipes but they will fit steel pipe just need to order the right o.d. You should be able to find those all over the Internet.

McMaster-Carr has handrail fittings that are sized for use with iron pipe.

You may find other sources but this should get you started.
