  • Copper work

I know I've commented in the past about some jobs I worked years ago with hundreds or thousands of feet of large bore copper.
Came across these photos today while cleaning off the hard drive of an old computer. This was in 2008 (based on the date of the file folder) and I took the photos for the contractor I was working for. I didn't run the pipe you see in these photos, I was working on another part of the project but this is like the copper work I have done in the past, up to 6 inch K copper. The largest pipe in these photos is 4 inch. These photos are just a fraction of all the copper work on this job, maybe 10%.

Impressive. What are the pipes carrying..water? Are they sweat joints?

Multiple air and vacuum lines, and also cooling water supply and return (the two lines with insulation) for equipment.
There is a 2" equipment drain line visible also.

Yes, those are all solder joints.

Impressive. Nice joints and the whole layout looks nice and clean and well planned. Was that a hospital or industrial plant?

        Thanks for the post,

Thanks on behalf of the guys who ran this pipe. As I said I didn't work on this section of the project.

          It's in an industrial setting.
