Re: Hey Josh I have a NEW problem

al clear, now i know what you're talking about.

125' of 3/4'' cable is suppose to fit into the drum. 150' of 5/8'' cable too.

no way in hell. i had the same identical thing happen to me too i cut off the 10' that had kinked and run approx. 115', plus the rear anchor cable. if i need more, i add a 25' section. if i know in advance that it takes more, i put the 25' in first inthe line, then the drum on the machine.

ridgid needs to make the drum a little larger, or not claim that a 125' of 3/4'' will fit. sure you can load it in there, but try to retrieve it in the real world and not kink

All clear, a couple years ago they had a metal issue.if there is a black spot at point of breakage, ther might have been an issue with your cable.

Re: Hey Josh I have a NEW problem

for some reason someone must have lost the number to Ferguson Enterprises, it`s 620-662-1256. They have "NOT" gotten a return call yet on these cables as of today.
Am I just going to have to eat the cost of the 25` inner core cable that was "Not" inner core? If So, I`ll be looking for a new cable supplier.
BTW.... the new 100` cabe has broken 3 times and it`s not even a month old Brakes at the ends about 5 rounds down, right where they bend all the time. This is getting OLD fast!

Return to the better high end inner core!!!!!

All Clear, please be patient on this one and know I am looking out for ya. I just talk to the product manager (before ever reading this post) that you talked with a week or so ago. He was just hired on here and he is trying to gain his whereabouts. He is still planning taking care of your situation soon and I will keep pestering him till he does.

Re: Hey Josh I have a NEW problem

Guys I recently bought a trap leader for my k1500 and it only had a couple of average spot welds on the end holding the connection pieces.
I noticed this straight away and put a bit more weld on them.

Re: Hey Josh I have a NEW problem

The only time you have to worry about the welds is when you reverse. Going forward the welds do nothing. The big problem is that the inner core doesn't fit the outer cable and will not support it. The inner core is now some sink line cable and it fits loosely in the outer cable. The old inner core was a wound cable and it fit nice and tight. When you hit something with the new cable you will over torque the outer cable and bend it all to **** or even brake the ends off.

Re: Hey Josh I have a NEW problem

This has me wondering if All Clear is being sold "Yakamos Dungamos" brand inside of Ridgid boxes. If that really is a new Ridgid product, then it's time to change brands.

Thats the weld that came with it about 3 weeks ago
                            I even have the box

This is the 3rd one I`v lost in 6 months and the 2nd one in 2 months that the welds broke on.
On the first one the end was so soft, that it just wore out and fell off in a 4" main line.

I get all my Ridgid stuff from Ferguson Enterprises "or" I did, because if someone doesn't do something about these losses real soon I`m gonna change a few things in my trailer`s. I called em and told em to hold off on my K-60 till I make up my mind on what I want to do.

here`s the Retriver, Yes I got it back this time because I wanted to see why it broke off.

Here it is with the end back on it. Look at the crack and thats where it broke off at.
