i have both a 2'' and 3'' trash pump and a 3'' diaphram pump.
these will pump tons of water and the diaphram pump can pump dry without damage.
honda motors are a good call. also very important are the hoses. use pvc hoses that don't lay flat. you need a hose that can work on the suction side and a hose rated for pressure. i use the pvc hoses for both. they connect with cam and grove fittings. 2 snaps and you;re good to go.
make sure to remove the gas when finished for the season and clean out the debris from the volute.
