sorry guys, i don't remember who makes it.

but i have been pondering the idea of re-engineering it. and today i spoke to my buddy that can design and make anything. we are going to rework the product i'm referring to and make it a super burnisher. non cutting reamer, copper displacement tool.

the one i will re -design will be a hand held tool for 1/2'' - 2''. this being the most common size of piping. 2.5''-6'' will be a totally different tool.

how does the plumber rick/ ridgid reamer sound

josh, have your people talk to my people

    rick.

LOL-I hear he is thick skinned as well so he may just use his finger.

Here is a link to a chipless copper reamer. I'm not sure if this is what Rick is using or not.

                Thanks for the link,
These look like they may be good for an individual who may only have a few cuts at a time, but unfortunately for a guy who is running copper for days on end(Maybe years if all he does is copper for a production company). The ones shown on the link has handles that are too thin.I could see a poor guys hands aching after a few hours of running copper

The principle is a good idea. For some reason I think Rick said his had three settings.I hope his also have larger more rounded handles

It says it is faster than a standard reamer which I find very hard to believe. My favorite reamer until Ridgid comes up with a similiar product is the Rothenberger reamer.
