  • Miller maxstar 150 Welder

I am shoping for a small welder some thing I can use to weld a few fittings or weld a few back to back. Anyone try the Miller maxstar 150? Or dose any have a small welder for pipe work they like. I am looking for some thing the is Small, light and I can pull power form equipment.

I'm assuming you're dealing with thick metals. Arc or mig? Lincoln makes a generic but very reliable welder as does Hobart and Miller.

I'm contemplating buying a TIG welder as it's the coldest weld out there. I even migged aluminum at one time. <<< All I did was blow holes though as I could never understand the control of heat/speed dealing with thick to thin applications.

Would of been an awesome skill to learn though.
