The ones I was joking about were called J-Hooks sometimes called nail-ons by a few guys that would migrate through our company back in the early nineties.The fully enclosed ones you and Robert are referring to aren't bad as long as you are away from the face of the stud far enough to where the drywaller can't reach your copper with a stray screw.The "C" style are unacceptable

Abs Is Made For Speed, No Primer Solvent Weld, You Have To Be Quite Careless To Fail An Air Test. That Is The Only Advantage Is A Chemical Weld In The Joint.
