I keep Tylenol and Rolaids in my bag. Don't forget the job site radio. The one with the volume knob thats missing and it's set on 12, and it's stuck on the rap \ hip hop station....

                Rap, hip hop..ok...beat this....
Bosses son got XM radio for the SOLE purpose of listening to H Stern.
We got to listen to the stellar insights of half the drunk, drugged or homeless population of NYC along with strippers & porn stars as Howard belittled them...then, for added pleasure there's an all day H Stern "after show" where we got to listen to commentary on the highlights of the show we had the pleasure of listening to that morning.
                Oh goody.

It's especially nice when the radio's blaring out the Stern show and you're working on a building right next to the old folks home. There are, unfortunatly way too many idiots in the trades that have no sense of propriety or common sense. Many of the jobs we work on do not allow radio's or Ipods of any sort, and I like it that way. There are few things more aggrevating than trying to communicat with someone when the damn radio (or radio's) are all cranked up to max volume.

Funny, people give me the same reaction for listening to Rush Limbaugh, Dr. Laura, Sean Hannity or Bill Orielly. I have found the best thing on the job to listen to is rock(60,70,80,90). Almost everyone enjoys rock & roll from these decades.

My new favorite tool-a foam pad. Keeps my knees out of the dirt and when you have bad knees, you can definently appreciate the improved comfort. I replaced a water heater today and forgot my hand truck so I placed the WH on the foam pad and just slid it out the door. This was a hardwood floor but it beats picking them up like I usually do.
                        Buy cheap, buy twice.

Yep,just throw a piece of material around it to make up the distance to lock the hands and out the door or up on the platform she goes.On a good day with space to manuever a 40 can go on the shoulder.

I saw some straps that go around your forearms made just for this purpose. I think it cost about 30 bucks.

A lot of times if no ones around I'll take off my shirt and use it.Others I'll get lucky and the heater will have some packing plastic.
