My dad was a carpenter, the plumbing work he did before I became a plumber involved

        drywalls screws

        rubber couplings

        clamps

        and who knows what else

        I'd be firing him hourly...

My grandfather, my dad, my three brothers, my son, and six nephews--guess that just about covers it.

But yes, Plumbing is in my gene's so to speak. My dad, and uncle both plumbers, and as I said in another thread, My dad still works for the outfit I did my apprenticeship with.

My parents owned an Insurance Agency and a Construction Bond business. However, as a kid I always dreamed about being in the trades so here I am.

My father was an executive, although very mechanically inclined. I am the middle son, my oldest brother went into sales selling industrial plumbing fittings , parts etc. He suggested that I go into plumbing, 13 years later and now my two brothers and I are all plumbers. Dad passed away a few years ago but was very happy with each one of our decisions to go into plumbing. At times I even think he wished he had been a plumber himself.

My father was a plumber. I have no male progeny. My daughter wasn't interested. (Good for her!)
