I will be driving my van to the roundup, gonna have the Drain Medic arsonal waiting for you there

Then you can see the "TOP SECRET, MISSION PERSONAL" compartment on my truck that Gene was talking about
What do you mean getting scared, he`s been scared of the drum machines all along. Just wait till he see`s my 50` roof machine and the look on his face when it puts a kill on the K-60 for speed I use it every time I have to clean a 2 or 1 1/2" sink line from the vent stack

If your bringing the van I`ll bring the trailer full of tricks. Maybe Rick should just stay home and save face

If all the events are going to be drain cleaning then I'm staying home. I hate drain cleaning.

Other than my own kitchen sink, I have not cleaned a drain since I got my masters 30 years ago.

I don't think running should be allowed for speed events because that indicates physical fitness and not technical knowledge.

                    Re: Ridgid Roundup Events

Let's not forget the entire idea of the Roundup was to resolve a debate between sectional and drun machines and which model machine was the best all-round machine.

My bet is the guys who own both type of machines and have the choice of which machines is better will win out over the guys who only own one type and as such make do with what they have.

I would have to do a search but I recall one drum guy who has promised to compete with one hand tied behind his back. The opportunity to watch that by itself is enoungh to make the 2,300-mile trek.

The K-60, we all agree is good because of it's ability to be transported easier then a drum machine.

Everyday, depending on what job we are doing, we are asked to choose the right tool. The k-60 versus the drum, doing roof jobs is like using a drill when you need a sawzall

The only way this will be a fair competition is to engineer multiple type stoppages, all ground level, this is a fair playing ground.

The use of different size machines, cables, bends, blades and the drain cleaners skill will be tested then, rather then who can drag a drum machine to the roof, this is a stupid idea, no one would drag a mainline machine to the roof anyways.

Everyone in the world agrees that a k-60 is versatile, especially for roof jobs.

one thing to test for sure would be 2 mainline c/o's, ground level, 100' stoppages, roll up, 1 sectional and 1 drum and see who clears it the fastest, this is the type of competition that is fair.

chime in, I am curious about others opinions.
I thought this whole thing started an eon ago when debate started about
"If you could pick one machine"

Sure when it comes to the wide open spaces of the front yard the drum is going to devour the sectional IN POINTS(hopefully the competition will use them). Then die on the roof.

So a guy and his one machine of choice needs to be challenged in all aspects of the needs of cleaning a drain system effectively.

                                Whaddya think

No matter what I'm going to have a sweet seat at the big show.
