Steve, I gotta throw the BS flag. Now that a date is set and the trash talking has to be backed up, don't get cold feet now. No changing of the rules. Back up what you say.

This is an interesting statement. Many years ago I had a boss point out we were plumbers not cops and as such we did not need partners. When my guys would ask if they could ride as a "Team" I would explain I could not charge the customer for a "Team" of plumbers so they would both have to work for half pay if they wanted to work together. Needless to say I didn't get the question very often after that.

I do the bigger jobs that take more then one man so I can get to the next job on time. Yea if I was just fixing a leak I don't need any help but when I do a 1/2 mile of building drain then it`s time to get a helper to bring along my bucket for me to set on. Some one has to carry my 5gallon bucket. I`m not just a cable sticker, I`m a sewer and drain specialist I`m a turdologist

For those of you that don't know what a turdologist is

Turdologist Webster defines it as: some one with a background in fecal matters. Usually one employed as a plumber with a specific knowledge of waste and sewer problems. This person can usually be found knee deep in $hit!

I guess the bigger jobs did take a helper, as I remember when we changed the 5" galvanize water lines hanging from the 12' high garage ceiling of Doheny Towers I had a helper or two with me to carry the 21' lengths of 5" galvanize to the pipe machine. So I guess if the roundup has any 2,500' building drains to clean in the competition no one would be hurt if you used a helper.

12' high would mean up or down stairs right?

I got told I was to high on price yesterday. I R&R one kitchen faucet and drain and one bath lav faucet and drain in 45 minutes and only charged 100 labor. They said "$100.00 for 45 minutes is kinda high isn't it?" I said no it`s more like kinda cheap as I could have been dragging my feet and could have brought a helper a long and it would have been X 2 . I told em you are paying for my experience and just because I am fast at what I do is no reason to not pay me what someone else would have made on the same job. I the told em the same job should have cost $250 or so but I gave em a brake because I did do it so fast...errrrrrrr people.....errrrrrr

It was semi sub terrain but my truck fit down there because it was the service area of the first level garaged. It did mean ladders and scaffoling though.

Not at all I use to own a lot of drum machines and believe every truck should be stocked with both sectional and drum machines. It just when I sold my shop I had to choose what to keep and I kept all sectional machines.
