  • Tankless Vent

    Here's one for yous ,

I've installed several rinnai tankless . Have been VERY happy and so have my customers . However , I am wondering if by chance they ever need changed out ( and no one wants to pay the large amount ) or the customers are NOT happy anymore ,,,,

The vent is a 5+" plastic outer intake line with a 3" interior Stainless Steel exhaust line .

Will the vent be usable as a straight exhaust line should a regular water heater be desired ???

    One must wonder ,,

You vent Rinnai up throught the roof? I usually poke through a wall

I wouldn't be concerned about the stainless steel. I would be worried about the temperature limitations of the rubber gaskets that join them together. Not to mention the plastic spacers for the intake air might melt. That Ubbink stuff doesn't link together strong enough for me.
