        No problem

Rick likes Kaiser. I have Blue Cross and think the Dr's are better.

I don't know if it is everywhere, but in CA prices are based on the younger spouses age. So Rick would get a considerably lower rate if I joined his.

Plus health insurance is a tax write-off.

        Better?

          Re: Health Insurance....

We used to go through my hubby's company he used to work for. The he started his own company and he had blueshield for $350 a month cause he was a smoker and high blood pressure and I had Kaiser for $113 a month cause I'm healthy . Then I was fed up paying for robert's so much so I switched to REAL CARE through my work. I had to sacrifise my $113 so now we have a family plan..for $330 a month for both.which is around 100 less then what we were paying separate.

Much better. Just getting information on what's been good for people. I look at health insurance as catastrophic need.

              Working with BlueCross right now.

People are usually very particular about their Dr's and keeping the ones they have.

It is almost impossible to talk price as it depends on where you live, age, pre-existing conditions, and any current issues.

I look at health insurance as a necessary evil

I wasn't curious of price, but of the business model. What covers the "need" while maximizing tax advantages and more importantly.... profit. Thanks for your input and all others.

Blue Cross-family of 4- had a $2500.00 deductable but then they wanted to go up $200.00 more a month in march. Now a have a $5000.00 deductable and the premium is $421.00
I'm with you, it's just for catastrophies, everything else I pay out of pocket. And, of course, when I stay in network the prices are better.

I wonder how many wounds trademen have repaired with ducttape. I know it's the first thing I go for to keep me moving.
