  • RIDGID 45 Tristand Base

Does anyone have one of these? This was the predecesor to the 450. Its base is made out of steel instead of aluminum.

Our service center is looking for a replacement base only. We have an old broken one that we are having a darn hard time finding a replacement base for since we haven't built the tool for 60 years . If any of you have an old one laying around in your museum that you are willing to part with let me know.

Let me know if ya got one. We may be able to work something out. Make sure its the 45 not the 45A. The A is aluminum.

This is going to be an interesting thread to watch. I know of where there are two of these bases but the owner will not part with them for any reasonable amount of $$$. Well maybe for $100K each but that's insane money for such an item. Put another way he knows steel or cast iron is preferred over aluminum. Also he just loves his old iron collection.
