  • Vacuum breaker help

I have an old Woodford wall hydrant to service for a friend . I'm not sure of the model , maybe an old model 85 , but it looks like the current model # 65 and it's about 29 years old . The vacuum breaker on it is junk , everything on the inside is rotted apart and corroded ( looks like it may have frozen once or twice ) , it's a Nidel 34HW , the rest of the hydrant works good . If I go to Woodfords site it says that a 34HW is 3/4 hose inlet and 3/4 hose outlet but the one I have has a different size inlet ( bigger than 3/4 hose ). Anybody know of a vacuum breaker that will fit it . The 34HW is a manual drain type it would be great if I could find an automatic drain type for it. Don't really want to replace the entire unit , it's in a chase between a double concrete block wall .

If it's stamped Nidel 34HW then it is 3/4"

I've never seen any other size VB on a Woodford 65 old or new

    Is this a commercial hosebibb?

I would say it's a commercial unit and I have the vacuum breaker sitting in my hand and 3/4 hose thread drops right thru the inlet opening .
