"plumbing isn't hard but requires alot of knowledge"

I agree 100%, same goes for surgeons, architects and engineers.

Being a columnist for this old house isn't hard, and clearly requires NO
      knowledge.

As a Plumber, A Licensed Plumber, I find this article interesting as I'd like to know how these numbers for pricing were created. The pricing regarding the drain cleaning leads me to one very valid question: Sir, have you ever had to clear a drain where vile excrement, human waste is sitting in an open area, flooding a basement, and you're called out to clear the obstruction? This is considered hazard pay as it is an unhealthy situation that breeds germs and disease. Please "adjust" your article to reflect this instead of generalizing random number punching in regards to pricing across the United States and abroad. Signed, Well known Plumber

I'm sure he thinks that Crap runs down hill and payday's on Friday. Unfortunately I get paid on Thurs. Looks like He's not smart enough to be a plumber.
