  • lead pipe???

Has anyone ever used a leadloc fitting. I see them on the net but in the UK. I had a problem this morning at a customers house and I need one of them.

I don't think a compression connection is allowed under the NSPC for lead is it?

    http://www.melimatic.com/lead_loc.htm

No mention on their site about being accepted for use anywhere in the USA. No endorsement by any standards organization either that I saw.
"When we build let us think we build forever. Let it not be for present delight nor for present use alone. Let it be such work that our descendants will thank us for, and let us think, as we lay stone upon stone, that a time is to come when these stones will be held sacred because our hands have touched them, and that men will say, as they look upon the labor and wrought substance of them, "See! This our fathers did for us."

Try a Ford Lead Pac coupling. They are used to join lead to copper water lines. Ford has a web site.

Ty all for you help. Copper water service above ground, split at slab, chop up floor and I see lead. Have never dealt with it, not to bad though found a compression coupling at a specialty supply house.
