  • Is It a Urinal Or Lavy?...You Decide

I have a customer that loves to add funky plumbing to his house.

This is his lastest catch: Kohler Chardon Lavy

    http://www.us.kohler.com/onlinecatal...e=0--467061785

This thing has no hanger. It's supported only by the faucets. No exposed trap. In fact, I have no idea how to hook the waste up

Any ideas?, love to hear some

Dumb de dumb dumb. Some people must be different. Guess someone has to buy the Ferrari's of the world.

Get the cold water support bolt. Well supported metallic drain piping.

Unlisted wall bracket? Depending on the backs' hollow shape you can sometimes get small universal brackets to help support each side. About 1.5"-2" angled with holes. Depends on the backs shape & how close it gets to the supplies etc.

i could be wrong, but that looks like an old institutional basin.

they changed to SS when one of the prisoners/convicts used the broken ceramic shards as a weapon.

      Vince

nothing is exposed so the prisoners/convicts have nothing to break back in those days. the trap and water supply are located in a chase.

      now-a-days, everything is SS.

you probably knew that already eh?

Looks very simular to a hospital surgeon's scrub sink (minus the knee valves)

I'm with Big Jim. It's a prison lavy. At least that's what AS calls it.
It's a Kohler K-2475 Chardon™ wall-mount lavatory. You can get a rough in guide at the following link.

American Standard has one that looks like an equal:

The faucet sucks if you are not in prison, other than that it would be Ok and different

No intergral trap just a spud opening on back bottom.

Did I mention this is being mounted on an exposed brick wall?

This is the same owner that put a 25,000 gallon pool on his roof without a permit

Can you build a false wall around the Lavy? With a brick wall behind it, a false wall may be your only choice for the waste and water lines, as well as mounting the thing to something solid. You may need a carpenter on this one.
I put it all back together better than before. There\'s lots of leftover parts.

The two Kohler clinic sinks I roughed in could not be set with out carriers.
In very small lettering at the bottom of Kohlers spec sheet it was stated..

                  "Carrier by others"

Also you need to take into consideration the depth needed for the pipe to come up behind it,nipple through and set the spud at finish. The three inch spud to back of san-tee ate up twelve inches quick.

                  P.S.
I've only seen stainless in detention centers.

Maybe you could 'accidentally' drop it and the ho would lose interest?

Is this customer, by any chance, a former heavy LSD user?
