Went to a leaky toilet call in an apartment building. . I get there and find both toilets leaking from what I thought at a glance was the tank to bowl gasket. Upon inspection with a flashlight I found cracks on both toilets, on both sides, that appeared to follow the casting seam. The building is only 3 years old, so I thought this was odd. Any one see this with Mansfield before?

Mansfield toilets have been installed in about 98% of the new construction in my town for the last five years or so. I have never seen a crack like the one in your picture.

Looks like a stress crack that finally grew.

Sometimes the workmanship of the porcelain will put stress points in the fixture and you won't find them till years later.

Mansfield I bet would warranty that, given its unusual defect. Send them a link, they might bite.

To find 2 in one apartment leads me to think there was a defective batch. I bet If I slid fridge magnets under all the doors in the building, I would find a trail of more

It's entirely possible. I got a bad batch of Kohler Cimarrons one time. What a headache that was.
