If you have a standard hourly rate that should apply to all the labor. The materials can be how ever much over what you paid for them.
Trailers should not get a cheaper rate in my opinion. Do your best work and charge the same as you would on a house.

If it's IPC you can't use those Fernco's.

        I know it's easier.

What if they were Stainless Sheathed Fernco's?

Double the price if you got any bodily fluids on you. Hazard pay!

The inspector told me that it had to have the same stamp on the steel band as what's on a Mission Band then it would be ok.

I should delete my post. I've noticed myself pointing out code when it's none of my business. Who am I to be the code enforcer?

Then they would be "Mission Couplings" not Fernco's

No they would still be Ferncos with a shear ring

Is that considered an illegal C.O. by IPC? What's the reasoning if so?

I don't see it as a 'directional fitting' so I don't use them

Man that's some easy diggin' you got there. Here in the Granite State the only time I see that is at the beach, and even then we get rocks.

2 trips, stinky dirty, inspection: $1200-$1500. Not much of a parts mark-up on this job. Do you really need a clean-out? Is it the distance from the house or the change in direction?

Crack are you talking about the "Kelly Sweep" as a non directional fitting? Or am I missing something...

What else is there for clay to pvc transition? I have used fernco's many times on sewer transitions and the local inspectors have ALWAYS passed my them, (IPC). I just did one last week and I got the green tag using ferncos on the pipe transitions.

Carl, I was bidding a job and the inspector wanted me to use a HiMax coupling for transitions like this.

I don't know of any catastrophic problems using Ferncos installed & backfilled correctly myself though. Some inspectors are nuts.
