  • PHCC-GLAA Trade Show

The West Coast grouop started gettingt down to Long Beach yesterday at around noon. We had some lunch and watch the big ships in the harbor for a while. By dinner time Nevada Plumber and Josh showed up so we met for dinner and hung out until late into the evening'. This morning we met for breakfast and now we are just waiting for the show to open up. I believe Robert is coming in late morning so hopefully we will get a group photo before it is all over. Rick has told us he is really looking forward to his dash for tools at the end of the show.

    Pictures to follow.

      Re: PHCC-GLAA Trade Show

so we had a good get together and a few surprise shows.

wookie and the other rick, rick 1643, along with plumber dave also made it.

good part of our day was hanging out at the ridgid booth and demo-ing products

we now have at least 2 more k-60 owners while i was there

and i have a new dvd pack that's got my name on it

don't worry, i have the receipt for it too

i believe it was a good turn out and a productive show for ridgid too.

for those attending the roundup, i brought out 1 of my new toys for the guys here to try. should be fun

looking forward to meeting the rest of the gang in september.

don't worry, i have more toys that i didn't bring out.

josh has a few photos to post too

finger is tender, but it's pulled together and looks like a fine line.

did a barbecue place with the early gang.

nevada plumber drove up to attend

the waiter poured out 6 different sauces for our ribs. it almost spelled out ridgid. so joey helped

I finally got to meet some of the guys on the forum. ToUtahNow,Plumber Rick and Joey,Dirtyhands, Nevada Plumber and Josh. Pleasure to meet you all. I'll make sure to do lunch next year.

Show was ok, smaller than previous years. Sign of the times I guess. Pretty much got to talk to the folks I needed to talk to and get questions answered.

I think a lot of things reflected "the sign of the times".

Nobody had models at their booths--not even the truck guys!

Only 3 companies had samples of their products and you had to ask for them.

As wookie mentioned, it was definitely smaller. It sure seemed like there were less vendors than normal. We missed last year, because we were at the Roundup so maybe it just seemed smaller.
                  I love my plumber

Dahl valves were passing out samples, watched as kids and their dads grabbed HANDFULS of valves ,circle the booth and comeback for more HANDFULS. Pretty disgusting. Dahl was dumping out the valves by the boxfull, I guess the tempation was to much

I think it was about the same as last year it seemed a little larger because we where in a larger area. And what do you mean no one had models at their booth. I could have shown some leg, it's just no one asked...........I guess I really don't blame them. Stupid me started a thread about the show and did not even look for one already started.

There were a couple booths that had models. One booth had what looked like two laker girls, and another booth had a couple of girls in stripper heels and little black dresses.

Overall, I was disappointed in the model to plumber ratio at the convention.

I guess I missed them and Rick was focused on the tools.

Hey Rick, I'm waiting on my demo when the local guy gets his hands on it.

How does the DVD PAK monitor look? Big enough? Bright enough?

I cant wait to see it in person.
